SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 13 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Council of the Government has authorized today the expense derived from the service consisting of the attention to unaccompanied migrant minors in immediate attention devices, for an amount of 11,767,087 euros.
The service, dependent on the General Directorate for the Protection of Children and the Family of the Ministry of Social Rights, Equality, Diversity and Youth, for whose management it has the collaboration of various social entities, is aimed at the comprehensive care of people unaccompanied foreign minors who arrive on the Canary coasts guaranteeing their immediate attention, as well as their integration into residential spaces and educational and labor training resources.
Specifically, the Canarian Executive has authorized the payment of an item to the Quorum Social Association 77, for an amount of 9,695,882 euros, and another item of 2,071,205 euros to the entity Social Response Siglo XXI Foundation, both organizations collaborating in the care of unaccompanied migrant minors in the Canary Islands.
Currently, the Canary Islands have 47 emergency devices managed directly by the General Directorate for the Protection of Children and the Family, in which some 2,000 migrant minors are welcomed and cared for.
