He enters prison after trying to stab a man to death in the Canary Islands

The facts They occurred one afternoon when two friends were in the place and they were approached by a man whom they had already seen on some occasion in the vicinity.

After striking up a little conversation with him, one of the two friends moved towards an ATM and was followed by the aggressor while they both continued talking until, at one point, the aggressor dropped a cap on the ground and when the victim bent down to pick it up, he was unexpectedly attacked with two stab wounds with a knife to the head and neck.

The man who had stayed in the park tried to warn his friend that the aggressor was drawing the weapon and, at the time of the attack, he managed to stop it and the author lost the knife.

After the attack, the victim walked away until he lost consciousness, regaining consciousness in the ambulance in which he was taken to hospitalwhere he was treated for his injuries that did not require more than stitches, without his life being in danger.

The National Police, once they learned of the facts, carried out the pertinent investigative tasks and took statements from the victim and the witnesses, reaching the conclusion that it was an attempted homicide given the circumstances of the attack, surprisingly and without threats or prior requests, which eliminated the possibility of robbery, and using a knife with a 10-centimeter blade in life-threatening areas.

Once the author was located and identified, he was arrested. This is a 56-year-old man from Laredo, in Cantabria, who had a police record for other violent crimes.

After putting him at the disposal of the judicial authority, his admission to prison was determined.
