Keroxen takes off new edition with the opening day on Saturday October 22 by Gaf & The Love Supreme Arkestra, Rob Mazurek, Kiki Hitomi and Mc Yallah + Debmaster. Thirteen years that the festival floods the El Tanque Cultural Space with sound in a multidisciplinary meeting of internationally acclaimed artists, whose subscriptions can now be purchased at a reduced price of 69 euros on the sales platform.
Seven consecutive days, 28 concerts and six international residences make this year one of the longest in the history of the electronic music festival with the greatest projection in the Canary Islands.
From October to December, the British People Like Us will perform on stage; the Swiss L’Eclair; the Kampala collective, Nyege Nyege Showcase; the local Tensö; the Ugandan MC Yallah & Debmaster, the also Ugandan Catu Diosis, the Spanish Esplendor Geometrico, the British MadMadMad, the trumpeter Rob Mazurek from Chicago, the American Liz Harris (Grouper), the groundbreaking British band A Place To Bury Strangers and Jako Maron who comes from Reunion Island, among many other names that complete the eclectic world of Keroxen 2022.
This year’s poster represents the transversal spirit of the festival with an image by the artist Sema Castro. Keroxen is the festival that since 2009 transforms the interior of a fuel tank, the Cultural Space El Tanque Santa Cruz de Tenerifee, in a meeting place where different disciplines converge that stimulate the relationship between art and people. Today it also functions as a record label and a laboratory for artist residencies.
The Keroxen Festival is possible thanks to the support of INAEM, the Canarian Institute for Cultural Development, Government of the Canary Islands, React-Eu Fund and Promotur Turismo Canarias SA, Cabildo de Tenerife and the Autonomous Organism of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, OAC.
