A new accident that occurred minutes before 09:30 a.m. on Tuesday has once again caused traffic jams on the TF-5 motorway as it passes through La Laguna. Specifically, as indicated by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands (Cecoes 1-1-2), the incident took place at the Padre Anchieta roundabout, which is the busiest entrance and exit of the city, and four vehicles have been involved in it.
As explained by Cecoes on its social networks, there have been no injuries, but there have been retentions.
In recent days there have been several incidents that have caused large traffic jams on this same road, the TF-5, which supports the highest traffic density on the entire island, especially in the area that connects Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna. . There, one of the most conflictive points is precisely the Padre Anchieta roundabout, since in recent weeks several factors have come together that have hindered traffic: works, the start of the university course, rains and the elimination of the incorporation lane towards Santa Cruz to the road from Geneto due to the burying of the rail from La Esperanza.
📢 Attention. accident #traffic with four vehicles involved in TF-5, direction Santa Cruz de #TENERIFE at the height of Padre Anchieta, La Laguna. Initially no injuries.
