The new secretary general of the Socialist Youth in Arona, Jorge Alayón, demands “to put an end to the management commission of the PSOE” in the municipality “and immediately call an assembly to return democratic normality to the party, with the mayor, José Julián Mena, as secretary general».
Alayón, who returns to the position he held between 2015 and 2020 by unanimous decision of the assembly, defines the six socialist councilors who announced their move to non-attached as “turncoats” and accuses them that “they are betraying the project that we voted for in the past municipal elections.
His criticism reaches CC, to which he attributes a management that “has led the Arona City Council to pay more than 15 million euros in sentences” and to which he reproaches the use of “a disqualified mayor” to “resurge”.
