The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through the Autonomous Organism for Festivities and Recreational Activities (OAFAR), has pre-registered a total of 112 groups and collectives in the different contests of the carnival 2023.

For the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello “it is a real satisfaction to see the extraordinary response of our groups after two anomalous years”, according to the City Council this Sunday in a statement.

In this sense, the mayor highlights “the pre-registration of almost 4% more groups compared to the 2020 edition”, something that “reveals the excellent health that our carnival enjoys and the desire to participate in the different acts”.

Regarding the groups participating in the different contests that will be held from the month of January, the incorporation of: En Paralelo Danza, LSTribu, Onys and Wild Dance in Choreographic Groups stands out; Suffocated in Adult Murgas; Roll up your sleeves because you’re getting wet, Cucarachas Blancas, Sweeten my child, Las jareadas at their point of salt and Don’t go so you can have lunch, in La Canción de la Risa; Sneaky and Ni Pico Ni Corto in Murgas Infantiles; and the Children’s Comparsa Los Joroperos.

The pre-registration form hosted on the web www.carnavaldetenerife.com It is a necessary requirement to start the administrative procedures that are contemplated in each contest or event.
