Jorge Alayón González has been the new general secretary of the Socialist Youth of Arona since yesterday, after being unanimously elected in the assembly, in which the management of the outgoing general secretary, Fabián Muñoz, was supported, and the new Local Executive Commission was voted on.
In his speech, Alayón called for an end to the management committee of the PSOE in Arona and to convene an assembly “immediately” to return democratic normality to the party, with José Julián Mena as general secretary.
After wondering “when have we been better than when peace and unity were breathed in this town house”, he criticized the Councilors critical of Mena who have just been discharged from the PSOE, passing to the group of non-attached, whom he asked to deliver the minutes after describing them as “turncoats.”
“They have betrayed the project that we voted for in the last municipal elections,” he said.
