SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 7 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, has been shown this Friday “greatly surprised” by the CEOE statement criticizing the increase in the maximum contribution bases by 8.6% next year, as collected by the PGE, since “it is nothing new”.
In statements to journalists, he pointed out that each year the maximum bases rise and the Government “has been explaining this for a long time” given that to ensure the sustainability of the system and that future pensions with a maximum base maintain contributory rates, they have to rise “more or less like inflation.
In that sense, he recalled that in 2013 and 2014 the maximum base already rose 5% “with negative inflation” and he does not recall “any statement from anyone”.
