The Cabildo and the social entities of Tenerife promote volunteering among 42 educational centers and 7,500 students of all levels, with 218 actions in nine types of activities. It will be during the next nine months – from October 10 to June 10. The island president, Pedro Martín, presented the third edition of the #cuentocontigo campaign, launched together with 41 groups from the Isla Solidaria program, dependent on Sinpromi, to, as Martín explained, “sensitize youth to values of solidarity, participation, equality and diversity.
The act was also attended by the general director of Centers of the canarian governmentMaría Candelaria González, and the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Nauzet Gugliotta, who highlighted the good results obtained with this campaign that, since the first edition, launched in 2020, has reached 17,409 students from 95 educational centers, thanks to the support provided by 149 social entities.
The initiative will be developed in 25 centers in the metropolitan area, 9 in the South and 8 in the North. To do this, there is a team of 10 professionals: 6 facilitators, 3 technicians and a person in charge of the program.
