The experts dived yesterday in the area of the Rasca Lighthouse and in Montaña Amarilla, on the Aronero coast, to dock later in the port of Las Galletas, where they were received by the municipal councilor. The objective of this initiative, which is included in the program of the Arona SOS Atlántico Festival [www.sosatlanticofestival.com]is to promote the visibility of the island’s underwater seabeds to attract profiles of travelers who carry out this activity or who want to experience it for the first time.
After enjoying marine nature in the south of Tenerife, divers will also enjoy the riches of the waters of Puerto del Norte, through wonders such as La Rapadura, in Puerto de la Cruz, according to the organization. The experts are being accompanied by the Festival’s environmental adviser and renowned documentary filmmaker and underwater photographer Sergio Hanquet.
This ninth edition of Arona SOS Atlántico has the support of the Arona City Council, as the main municipality-headquarters, the Government of the Canary Islands (ICDC and Promotur), the Cabildo de Tenerife (Culture and Tourism of Tenerife), the Cabildo de La Gomera and Fauca (Canary Live).
