Environmental Intervention of the Rural Environment in Los Silos 2022 is the project developed by Los Silos through an agreement between the City Council and the Public Service of Employment State (SEPE). Included in the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program (PFEA) in deprived rural areas, it will last three months, has a budget of 52,000 euros and hires 13 unemployed people from the municipality (environmental laborers), from the agricultural sector.
The project contemplates cleaning and conditioning work on agricultural tracks and trails, eliminating invasive plant species on roadsides and other public spaces in the middle of Los Silos, such as the beds of the ravines that pass through urban centers, in addition to other actions carried out by Obras y Servicios.
The implementation of the agreement and the incorporation of the 13 unemployed will make it possible to duplicate the efforts that the local Administration carries out “with the aim of improving employment for people who come from the agricultural sector and launching actions that favor the care and protection of our Environment”, says councilor Raquel González.
