Tenerife Interurban Transport (TITSA)a company belonging to the Cabildo de Tenerife, will incorporate 60 new hybrid buses in the period until March, which will be part of the batch of 110 vehicles of this technology acquired by the island corporation.

The Minister of Mobility and president of TITSA, Enrique Arriaga, explained that “the integration of these vehicles and those that remain will mean a significant reduction in CO2 emissions, in addition to considerable savings in fossil fuel consumption,” according to reports. it’s a statement.

This type of hybrid bus uses two different types of energy to achieve its displacement: on the one hand, an internal combustion engine, generally diesel; and on the other, one or more electric motors.

With these technologies they can make the thermal motor, the electric motor or both work together, in such a way that fuel consumption is reduced – an average reduction of 30% is estimated – and, with it, polluting exhaust emissions.

The new vehicles that TITSA will have meet all the accessibility features and incorporate tools such as USB ports for recharging mobile devices or TFT technology screens.
