Several large rocks force the closure of a road in Tenerife

The fall of several large rocks has forced the closure of a road in the municipality of La Guancha, Tenerife. The landslides have occurred on the road from El Roque to El Convento and it has been closed since 11:00 p.m. this Monday, as reported by the Guanchero City Council.

The road will remain closed until further notice, according to the La Guancha City Council on its Twitter account.

NOTICE | This morning the road to El Convento was closed, both for vehicles and for pedestrians, due to the detachment of large stones.

The mayor of the municipality, Antonio Hernández, reported this morning that the road will remain closed to traffic and pedestrian traffic, until further notice. In this sense, the first guanchero mayor has indicated that he has contacted “the director of the Plus Ultra school to inform her about what happened, as it is a road through which the school bus passes to pick up students from very early “. Hernádez, in addition, asks for “prudence and that please nobody approaches the area.”
