The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife asks for a sentence of 13 years in prison for a man, of Bolivian nationalityfor raping a minor he knew through his family in a residential building in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The summary states that the man took advantage of the fact that the minor was walking to school every day to approach her on the street, take her by the arm and take her to a nearby building.
There, after waiting for people to leave the building, he looked for an appropriate place to consummate the assault after taking the elevator to the top floor and going down some stairs.
The man told the minor not to “say anything” because if she did she would go to jail and after the events, the minor suffers from personal maladjustment with anxious and depressive symptoms and self-injurious behaviors for which she needs psychological therapy.
The prosecution considers that the facts are constituting a crime of sexual assault a minor and also requests the prohibition to approach less than 500 meters from the victim and communicate with her for a term of 5 years exceeding the prison sentence imposed, eight years of supervised release and compensation of 6,000 euros.
The trial is held this Tuesday at 10:00 in the second section of the Provincial Court.
