The Municipality of Santiago del Teide has awarded the company LC30 Consultores the basic and execution project for the conditioning and improvement of the Puerto de Santiago coastline, which will affect the beach, the puddle Los Chochos, the natural pool of Isla Cangrejo and the area of ​​Las Bajas and its surroundings. The value of the contract amounts to 54,350 euros and the drafting period is six months from the time of signature between the City Council and the successful bidder.

In phase 1, the connection of the Paseo de La Hondura with the pedestrian section of Puerto Santiago beach will be undertaken and the final section of the Agustín León road will be pedestrianized until reaching La Sirena street. In addition, a path will allow access from Plaza Agustín León to the beach car park.

In Phase 2 the sanitation network will be replaced, a walkway will be installed and the beach will be connected to the Los Chochos puddle and its surroundings, while in Phase 3 the road that gives access to the natural pool will be adapted and solarium areas with easily removable materials and elements. Finally, in phase 4, the access path to the different points of the coast will be conditioned and bathing platforms will be created.
