SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 1 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Canarian Coalition of Tenerife has called for the mobilization of nationalism so that the Island and the Canary Islands “recover the leadership lost in these years of PSOE government.” The deputy Ana Oramas stressed that CC is not going to win in the next elections: “We are going to destroy it.” In addition, she insisted that the Canary Coalition has been working these years, not like the PSOE that is partying “.
In a meeting held in Adeje, the Tenerife nationalists encouraged “to recover the illusion of an island that is falling behind and that has lost its privileged position.” For this reason, they insisted that “a strong Tenerife, nationalist and eager to move forward” is needed.
Before members, sympathizers and public officials from all the municipalities of the Island, the nationalists of Tenerife denounced that they have a council that “does not manage and an island president that bows to the interests of the PSOE and does not defend the people of Tenerife, which which has meant that Tenerife does not have the power of previous years”. Faced with this situation, they announced that they are going to “recover the Island and the Cabildo for the people, for the people, because Tenerife comes first.”
The national secretary general of CC and candidate for the Presidency of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, assured that the responsibility of the Canary Coalition in the next elections “is to recover the seriousness in the management, the projects and the illusion” and warned that the campaign “will to be hard and difficult”: “Everyone is going to come for us, but we need to generate that wave of Canarian feeling, that wave of illusion so that what belongs to us is not taken away from us. The Canary Islands feel, suffer and love”, he claimed.
“We are the only party in the Canary Islands that puts the interests of all Canarians above all else, not like others. We want our elders to be respected and our young people to have opportunities for the future. That is the CC project,” he stressed.
For his part, the island secretary general of the Tenerife Canary Coalition and mayor of La Orotava, Francisco Linares, denounced that Tenerife and the Canary Islands “have been mistreated.” “Pedro Sánchez who has mistreated us and there are two people who have consented to it, Ángel Víctor Torres and Pedro Martín,” he added.
Linares wanted to remember that Tenerife “is collapsed, sad, overshadowed, without projects.” “The Island is paralyzed. On top of that, they have left our grandparents at home, and this is a real scam. Besides, we have a historic opportunity, but we have not won anything and they are going to try to erase us,” he warned.
“Tenerife is not for sale. And I tell the PSOE two very clear things: that we are not a colony and that elections are not won in the courts, but at the polls. I am sure that Fernando will be president of the Government of the Canary Islands again “, sentenced the insular general secretary of the Canarian Coalition of Tenerife.
Deputy Ana Oramas stressed that CC is not going to win: “We are going to destroy it.” In addition, she insisted that the Canary Coalition has been working these years, not like the PSOE that is partying “.
Oramas, after announcing his return to politics on the island days ago, stressed that he is coming to join a team, to work with Fernando Clavijo, with Rosa Dávila, with all the colleagues from Tenerife and the Canary Islands. “I come to my land because it needs me, we are the party of the future,” he said.
The secretary of the Organization of the Canarian Coalition of Tenerife and regional deputy, Rosa Dávila, made it clear that the Cabildo de Tenerife “was previously the engine of the island, a benchmark for the people. Now the momentum and leadership has been taken away from Tenerife The Island has been gagged and we have to get it back.”
“Tenerife has to regain that leadership. And that strength comes from all of you. We are going to win because we have the best teams, the best people and those who love their land,” said Dávila.
Thanks to Carlos Alonso
The spokesman for the Canary Coalition at the Cabildo de Tenerife, Carlos Alonso, made it clear that today is a day full of emotions, but he wanted to remind the elderly: “Today is the International Day for the Elderly and I want you to give it a applause, which they gave us so much and to which the government of Pedro Martín has turned its back,” he lamented.
“This is ground zero of the project to destroy the Cabildo that we have had these years. They have gone backwards, destroying ANSINA, destroying the FDCAN and the MEDI. In the PSOE, if you are not one of mine, I will sink you,” warned the nationalist spokesman.
For his part, the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, sent a message to the PSOE: “We are stronger than ever to recover what we should never have lost. This is done by a party that has many people behind it. CC is consolidated and in its history there are people who have taken a step forward. All we do is represent you,” praised the mayor.
“The mobilization begins. We need those of us who are here to add many more to what we must do to recover the leadership of this island and the Canary Islands. We can all contribute to overthrow the worst island government that Tenerife has ever had. We have a president who has absolutely disappeared and who engages in sectarian politics with the people,” he denounced.
The Canary Coalition candidate for Mayor of La Laguna for 2023 and municipal spokesman, Jonathan Domínguez, explained that in his municipality “we are listening to people, door to door, and we see that some are afraid, it seems that there is a dictatorship in La Lagoon”.
“We have a team in La Laguna, Tenerife and the Canary Islands. We only have three options: win, win and win. And three options: work, work and work. On May 28 we are going to win the elections,” said Domínguez.
