The PSOE of Tenerife asks the airlines for a protocol so that they can travel Presa Canario breed dogs. The socialist group in the Cabildo will defend a motion in the plenary session this Friday, September 30, in which it is requested that the handling labor safety conditions be established so that both the responsible person and the animal can travel on the same flight .
In addition, the PSOE urges from the Cabildo to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to correct the Royal Decree 558/2001of May 25, which regulates the official recognition of organizations or associations of breeders of purebred dogs for air transport.
The motion states that the Presa or Dogo Canario is currently one of the most important native Spanish breeds with the greatest international recognition and prestige, with a presence in competitions and exhibitions in Spain, Europe and even the United States.
