CC continues without confirming the names that will head the electoral lists of administrations as important as those of the Cabildo de Tenerife or the Santa Cruz City Council itself. While Fernando Clavijo made his candidacy official this week to preside over the Government of the Canary Islands, and Ana Oramas announced her return to regional politics, the current mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, yesterday dropped his possible candidacy for the Cabildo, pointing out that “I think Rosa Dávila is the best candidate”.
“Once Carlos Alonso has decided not to run again and Ana Oramas has decided to play politics in the Canary Islands, it seems to me that the ideal candidate for the Cabildo is Rosa Dávila, because she has experience, she has headed the list for Parliament and all the conditions for her to be president of the Cabildo”, she defended.
As for repeating as mayor of Santa Cruz, Bermúdez insists on not confirming anything. “I will do what my party considers”, to add that “I can only say that I have the same enthusiasm as in 2011, I have more than enough desire, and I am in perfect review condition”. Regarding the possibility that he lead the list to the Congress of Deputies, now vacant, he pointed out that “there is enough time, it is not time to see that now.”
