The National Police has arrested four people in Tenerife as alleged perpetrators of crimes of theft and receipt of mobile phonesvalued at about 26,000 euros, of which they appropriated in their capacity as delivery men for a transport company to sell them later.
At the beginning of June, the National Police learned of the events as a result of a complaint from the representative of a transport company in which he explained how in the transfer of the company headquarters to another building a dozen mobile phones, a television and two sets of headphones had been lost and had been searched before leaving the premises but had been lost track of.
Carrying out regular investigation tasks, the National Police identified the users of the terminals, summoning them one by one to testify. Most of these people had acquired their terminals in different places scattered around Tenerife (Las Américas, Los Cristianos, La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, etc.) that had a common distributor, except for two people, who they had acquired from another individual.
Thus, the agents summoned said individual, who declared that he acquired them from another person, who turned out to work in the transport company reporting the events. The worker of another transport company was also arrested in the operation.
