SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The passage of the subtropical storm ‘Hermine’ through the Canary Islands continues its course and during the night of this Sunday it has left some 200 incidents related to rain, especially on the island of Gran Canaria and to a lesser extent, on La Palma and Tenerife, they report sources of the 112 Canary Islands.
The services basically refer to landslides on different roads, drainage of water in homes and open spaces, as well as overflowing sewers and incidents in the power line or power supply.
In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the roof of an abandoned house on Avenida Islas Canarias collapsed, forcing traffic to be closed and tram service temporarily suspended.
The Canary Islands will continue at least until 12:00 p.m. on maximum alert and the islands of La Palma, El Hierro and Tenerife are on an orange warning for rain this Monday and La Gomera and Gran Canaria are on a yellow warning.
