SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands informs this Monday that the limitation of family visits in the hospitals of the Canary Health Service, which had been activated in all the islands given the maximum alert situation due to rains, storms and wind established by the regional executive.
Thus, since the end of the maximum alert, normality has been restored in terms of access to hospital centers by family members.
The measure responded to the recommendation of the Government of the Canary Islands to limit mobility as much as possible, as a security measure for the entire population, so visits were only allowed to patients who needed 24-hour accompaniment by medical decision (as in the case of palliative care patients, patients with advanced illness, AA card holders, pregnant women and postpartum) and minors.
