More of 3,000 Endesa subscribers remained at noon of This Monday without electricity due to breakdowns recorded since last weekend due to heavy rains falls on Canary Islands. Throughout this September 26 they remained open about 205 incidents in the Archipelago, as explained by authorized sources of the aforementioned energy company. To correct the problem, the company set up a team made up of around two hundred professionalsboth in offices and on the street, to try to correct the problems.
The most affected islands are Gran Canariawith 159 casesand Tenerifewith 34 others. In the case of Gran Canaria, the areas most affected by power outages are Las Palmas, Telde, Gáldar and Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
As for Tenerife, the affected customers are located in the southeast and east of the island, specifically in Fasnia and Arico, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna.
Endesa registers half a dozen breakdowns in medium voltage lines, which affects some 650 customers, as well as 199 incidents in low voltage lines, which prevents about 2,500 subscribers have electricity supply.
From the company they explain that one of the obstacles to face the problems is the dispersion of the enclaves in which the cuts have been recorded.
During Sunday, they indicate from the company, before the significant rainfall in certain enclaves, it was decided to choose very well which places the personnel were sent to, since the priority was always to guarantee the safety of the workers. In addition, especially in the case of Gran Canaria, there were problems of accessibility to certain areas, due to the road closures that occurred.
Endesa plans that all the breakdowns, or at least most of them, will be resolved this Monday afternoon.
