SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Sep. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The island groups of PSOE, Cs, CC-PNC and PP have rejected this Friday in a plenary commission to convene a citizen consultation to debate the future of the Motor Circuit as proposed by Sí Podemos.
In statements to journalists, the president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín, has clarified that this project was not part of the legislature agreement with Sí Podemos and his group is “very respectful” of what they sign in such a way that “it was ruled out.”
He has also said that the PSOE stood in the elections defending this project and that there is a “social and political majority” that supports it, stressing that the citizens voted for many parties that defend the circuit. “That is the best endorsement,” he commented.
