The countdown begins for the competition to start at the XXVIII Infantas de España Trophy Regatta–V Centenary 1st Around the World, in which 35 boats will take the start in the waters of Santa Cruz.
the emblematic event organized by the Real Club Náutico de Tenerife (RCNT) By delegation of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, it has the collaboration of the Spanish Association of Yacht Clubs, the Canarian Association of Yacht Clubs, the Royal Canarian Sailing Federation and the Insular Sailing Federation of Tenerife.
It is part of the Official calendar of the RFEV and the RFCV, being scored for the Canary Zone Cruise Spain Cup. Likewise, it belongs to the qualifying system for the 2022 Spanish Cruise Championship – Canary Islands (valid as the 2022 Canary Islands Cruise Ranking).
On the other hand, it is also celebrated II Canary Islands Trophy, organized jointly by the RCNT and the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria. To qualify for this award, they must participate in both the Infantas de España Trophy Regatta and the XXXII Trophy SAR Princess of Asturiasorganized by the RCNGC and to be held in October in Gran Canaria.
The competition will start this Friday, starting at 1:30 p.m. after the first skippers meeting. The first start will be given on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and the awards ceremony will be scheduled around 7:30 p.m. The participating classes will be from ORC 0 to class 5, as well as class E. Vessels belonging to the fleet of RCNT, Club de Mar Radazul, RCNGC, Club Marítimo Varadero, Club Náutico de Arrecife and some independents will compete. As for the wind conditions, it is expected to blow from the Northeast, approximately 15 knots.
