The National Police has arrested a 35-year-old man, a native of La Laguna, for inducing him to abandon the family home by inducing a minor to escape from the center where he lived since May last year.
The minor, 16 years old, entered the CEA La Laguna for the first time in May 2021 and since then she has starred in several escapes, the first in September of that year, being located by agents of the National Police last January.
Two months later, on March 11, he escaped again, taking advantage of his departure to the IES Pinto Cabrera, where he was studying, remaining untraceable until now, picks up a note from the National Police.
After the filing of the corresponding complaint, the National Police began the relevant search procedures and located her this Thursday with her sentimental partner, a 35-year-old man, who was arrested for inducing a minor to leave home.
In fact, he actively collaborated in her disappearance, helping her to remain hidden and obstructing the police investigation by providing false information.
As a result of the police investigations, the Homicide and Disappearance Group of the Judicial Police Brigade of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife learned that this man, 20 years older than the victim, was also responsible for the other previous escapes.
The girl acknowledged having stayed with him at all times since his disappearance, changing her address every so often to make it difficult to locate her, dyed her hair platinum blonde and always wore a mask to mask her physical appearance.
For all these reasons, the author was arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, who issued as precautionary measures a restraining order and prohibition of communication with respect to the victim, who was placed at the disposal of specialized care services.
