The Municipality of La Laguna has declared of emergency works for the repair of Santa Gemma Galgani and Santa Eulalia streets, located in the neighborhood of La Candelaria, after the sinking of the track that took place yesterday afternoon, caused by the heavy rains registered in Tenerife.
The local government board, meeting this Tuesday as a matter of urgency, has made this decision due to the need to repair as soon as possible the damage caused to the pavement of both streets with the danger it poses to the safety of the residents.
Although the sinkhole on the road occurred on Santa Gemma Galgani street, this morning Local Police agents proceeded to cut the first section of the aforementioned adjoining street, as a preventive measure.
