SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 20 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has put out to tender the design of a participatory process through which representatives, associations, entities and social agents are involved in the development of a Comprehensive Care Plan for the Elderly in Tenerife.
The tender includes a second service, such as the design, preparation and execution of a communication plan that disseminates the participatory project that is going to be launched.
The multi-year budget allocated to both works amounts to 290,146 euros and the deadline for submitting proposals will remain open until October 12.
As explained by the Third Vice President and Minister of Social Action, Marián Franquet, the objective of this contract is “to advance in the new policy for the elderly in which work is being done to continue responding to the needs and preferences of a heterogeneous and diverse group such as It’s the one for the elders.”
At the same time, it seeks to expand the participation of older people in the day-to-day life of their community and their integration into society as a whole, collects a note from the Cabildo.
For this purpose, the obligation is established to hold a minimum of 100 participatory workshops throughout the island in which spaces for reflection are created that facilitate the identification of problems and the search for proposals that provide solutions.
“It is, in short, about enriching the policy for the elderly through new actions related, among other issues, to personal autonomy, social health, sociability and territorial balance”, adds the minister, who stresses “the importance of guaranteeing their physical and emotional well-being, promoting their autonomy and treating them as what they are, adults with decision-making power”.
