The Civil Guard has reported this Monday that it is investigating a 31-year-old man who last Wednesday drove in the opposite direction on the TF-64 road, in the municipality of Granadilla (Tenerife), and quintupled the maximum alcohol rate allowed in expired air.
The events occurred around 8:30 p.m. on September 7, when agents from the armed institute who were at kilometer 3.8 of the TF-64 highway observed that a passenger car invaded the lane reserved for the opposite direction. After stopping the vehicle, they required the driver to submit to alcohol tests.
The first test gave a positive result of 1.44 mg/l, and the second 1.31 mg/l, for which the agents told the driver that he was going to be investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against road safety for drive a motor vehicle overcoming the level of alcohol in expired air in more than 0.60 mg/l.
