The work substantially improved accessibility and pedestrian connectivity with El Coronel street and Juan Carlos I avenue and the coastal promenade (Juan Alfonso Batista avenue), about 265 meters long, was completely remodeled, adding new street furniture.
By eliminating the obstacles to progress in accessibility, that intervention led to the inclusion of vegetation, the replacement of furniture and public lighting, the change in the situation of the flower beds, the elimination of stairs and the installation of ramps, in addition to improving the connection between the sea and the walk.
Ruth Lorenzo, the councilor responsible for the Works area, explains that «we are in the last phase to be able to start the bidding process and start the works as soon as possible, and to be able to solve the damage caused by the strong waves in the area.
