SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 16 Sep. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The PP spokesman in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Carlos Tarife, has demanded this Friday the resignation of the Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, before the “systematic attack” of the institutions governed by the PSOE to the city.
Carlos Tarife also charges against the president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, who intends to “sink” the capital of Tenerife. “Zero visits, zero investments, in short, zero in everything that is for Santa Cruz,” he says.
In the opinion of the PP, “the second person responsible would be the Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, who is the one who really allows the Minister of Justice to come to the capital of Tenerife to present the project for the City of Justice in Cabo Llanos, turn their backs not only on the town hall but also on the residents of this emblematic area of the capital”.
For the popular spokesman in the Santa Cruz City Council, “certain glasses have overflowed with the attitude of the socialists with our capital” so “there are only resignations.”
In his opinion, “a Government delegate without the slightest bit of ethics and institutional respect cannot be allowed to authorize a high-ranking official from the State Government to set foot in a municipality in the Canary Islands and not even notify the mayor or the rest of the corporation”.
In the PP, insists in a note, “it has bothered us especially because it is precisely this party that bears the responsibilities of Urban Planning in the capital of Tenerife and is the one who should at least have been invited for the reasons stated as well as for institutional respect.”
