SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 13 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Nature Protection Service of Playa de Las Américas have rescued a ‘buzzard eagle’ that was injured.
The rescue took place thanks to citizen collaboration since the Civil Guard agents received an alert from a citizen who reported the presence in a ravine near the town of Arona of a bird of prey that could be injured, since it remained motionless .
For this reason, the agents went to the place and referred the animal to a nearby zoo where the first care was carried out and they verified that the bird was disoriented and dehydrated.
Later, the eagle was transferred to the La Tahonilla Wildlife Recovery Center.
