SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep. 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has once again defended this Monday that the former regional presidents should have the right to a lifetime salary if the Parliament of the Canary Islands so decides and they have a function regulated and recognized by the Chamber, not in exchange no problem.
In the control session, at the question of the Popular Group, he reproduced a radio interview where he stated his position and accused the popular spokesman of slandering him by insinuating from the rostrum that he is “preparing his future for after May.”
Torres has remarked that he is “against” life salaries without a specific function and has accused Domínguez of “trying to damage” his image by accusing him of something he has not said and not even being able to prove it in parliament.
He pointed out that “no Canarian deserves” this from a candidate and reminded him that “he has not learned anything” because his party lost an election “because they lied to the Spanish.”
“He is slandering and lying, no public representative is worthy if he lies, democracy is based on telling the truth even if it hurts, and on being consistent, loyal even with the rival, being fair and serious”, he has indicated, because otherwise that there are “representatives of cardboard” that are diluted “in a little sugar”.
Domínguez has indicated that the president is preparing a bill “to safeguard his future” at the same time that he has been “rehearsing how to behave in the opposition” for a while. “How much are you planning to charge from May?”, He has asked her.
He has commented that the president looks more and more like Pedro Sánchez because “he does not wear a tie and acts like him constantly” because “he sends a message to the public, analyzes the result and acts”, asking if he is going to “ask for responsibilities” from the media and is going to put “the audio” on the unemployed over 55 years of age.
“What he has said has remained there,” he indicated, stressing that it is he who has to apologize to the citizens.
