Experimental visits to the Central Park, the cleaning of La Enramada Beach and recycling and reuse workshops are the proposals of the Adeje City Council to commemorate the World Nature Protection Day. The actions will take place on Friday and Saturday organized by the Department of Ecological Transition, through the Treemac project.
Friday (from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) will be dedicated to the organization of experimental visits to the Central Park of Adeje, in groups lasting 45 minutes. In this way, interested citizens will be able to get to know this new space in the municipality through a guided route that will run through the different plots.
On Saturday there will be a cleaning of microplastics and other waste on La Enramada Beach, from 10:00 a.m. In the afternoon, the session will continue with an environmental education workshop. At 3:00 pm the Treemac project will be announced and at 3:30 pm The recycling game will begin, an activity designed to be fun and dynamic. People who attend will learn which is the correct place to dispose of each type of waste. Later, around 4:30 p.m., there will be a workshop on waste reuse.
People who attend the day of the 17th should remember to provide water and sun protection, as well as wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The City Council invites citizens to participate to share their photos and videos on social networks under the hashtags #WorldNatureProtectionDay #TreemacAdeje.
The Treemac European project is based on creating a Euro-African network of natural spaces to promote the improvement of knowledge, valorization and management of biodiversity and ecosystems.
