SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 13 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports this Tuesday that since the last data update last Friday, 183 new positives in Covid-19 have been recorded in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, a population group that has been follows up after the acute phase of the pandemic has passed.
Therefore, the accumulated number of coronavirus cases among this group amounts to 96,738 people in the Canary Islands.
Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 170.80 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 79.75.
Currently, in the archipelago there are 79 people admitted for coronavirus, of which seven are in the ICU and the rest, 72, on the ward.
On the other hand, in the last four days there have been five deaths, two reported in Tenerife, two in Gran Canaria and one in Lanzarote. All the people, aged between 84 and 90 years, had previous pathologies and were in hospital, the Ministry details in a note.
