Thousands of people enjoy the first day of ‘Come to Santa Cruz’

Thousands of people filled the streets of the chicharrera capital yesterday, starting at noon, to enjoy some of the more than 50 activities organized within the framework of the commercial, cultural and leisure revitalization initiative Come to Santa Cruz, according to the Santacrucero City Council. Thus, the first day of this weekend of activities began yesterday around 11:00 am, with the presence, on Asunción avenue, of the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, who was accompanied by the CEO of the Development SocietyAlfonso Cabello, and representatives of the sponsoring companies and collaborators in the event, “without which, this program of activities would not be possible,” said the mayor.

Bermúdez, who toured the different shopping areas, recalled that “this revitalization program, which returns after two years, is a successful initiative in the past and, therefore, its suitability is proven, while It helps give the city a commercial boost in more than a dozen locations in Santa Cruz.” To which he added that “these actions, which we started through the Recovery Table, are the product of permanent contact with social agents and contribute effectively to economic recovery and the local productive fabric.”

The programming continues today and will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with face-painting workshops and juice tastings in the chicharro square; children’s entertainment performances in the Plaza del Príncipe, and children’s workshops and bouncy castles in the toy library located in the Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena. This Sunday program will be complemented by parades through Imeldo Serís, Castillo Street, as well as in the surroundings of the Bulevar Park and San Francisco Square.

For his part, Alfonso Cabello took the opportunity to inform that “this edition has the incentive of the Consumer Bonds, which can be exchanged in the establishments that have joined, so it is one more reason to come to the capital and enjoy from a different weekend. And he announced that, “until 11:00 a.m. yesterday, a total of 16,000 Consumer Bonds have been sold, and only yesterday, from 08:00 a.m., when the new sale was opened, until 11:00 a.m., 4,000 had been sold and they are already sold out in the markets. On the other hand, Tranvía de Tenerife will today have a frequency of every 12 minutes, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. In addition, the Interchange car park will offer a rate of 1.5 euros per hour (billing per minute), as well as a promotion for the combined use of parking with public transport.

In addition, in the Weyler car park, through the Aparcados APK2 app, the user will benefit from a discount in terms of the rotation rate; Ramón y Cajal also offers today a flat rate of 6 euros all day; The one in Plaza España will have a daily price of 9.95 euros from the fifth hour of parking, while those in Parque Bulevar and Mercado will have a rate for the whole day of 9.85 and 9.75 euros, respectively.
