The City Hall of Candelaria has preventively discouraged, this Sunday, the bath in all the beaches of the municipality after detecting the presence of microalgae in water.
From the Health area, the situation will be monitored and the evolution of these enclaves will be communicated through official channels.
It should be remembered that last week the use and enjoyment of the Candelaria bathing areas was not recommended due to the presence of microalgae.
A similar situation occurred in the town of granadillawhere the authorities directly proceeded to close its sandbanks due to the effects caused by the runoff that dragged waste to the coast as a result of the previously recorded rains.
Be that as it may, it is clear that sewage discharges and million-dollar fines continue to be the unfinished business of the Archipelago.
