The Punta del Hidalgo Health Cliniclocated in The lagoon (Tenerife) has recovered the blood sampling service for clinical analysis, with just over 60% of the average weekly interventions and giving priority to people over 70 years of age, with reduced mobility or in a situation of dependency.
According to the City Council, the Councilor for Health, José Luis Hernández, has confirmed with the Primary Care Management of the Tenerife Health Area of the Canary Health Service that the office partially recovers the service.
In this way, it has been agreed to continue working together to soon achieve the full provision of this fundamental service and strengthen public health services for residents.
Hernández highlighted the “good disposition of the Management and the direction of the Basic Health Zone to return this service to the population of Punta del Hidalgo after several years of citizen demand.”
“A positive measure, without a doubt, but we believe that the office must have the necessary personnel to provide the service in full and that the neighbors do not have to go to the Tegueste health center to get an analysis, as has happened in these recent years,” he said.
For its part, Punta del Hidalgo has a population of 2,660 people, according to the municipal census, of which almost a quarter are over 60 years of age.
