San Juan de la Rambla recovers next Saturday, September 17, the popular Pilgrimage of San José, in the upper area of the municipality, a celebration that offers all-inclusive carts at a modest price of 200 euros. For this XXVII edition, the Department of Fairs, Celebrations and Pilgrimages has prepared a special package that can be booked until next Wednesday, September 14. For 200 euros, interested groups will be able to get a cart with a team, five kilos of meat skewers, two and a half kilos of sausages and chistorras, a 16-liter jug of wine, several dozen eggs and a party of accompaniment to put folkloric soundtrack to the tour.

For the rambler mayor, Ezequiel Domínguez (PSOE), “the return of the San José festivities and, especially, of its pilgrimage are the main indication of the return to normality in the municipality”, who once again enjoys this celebration after three years of limitations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Councilor for Fairs, Celebrations and Pilgrimages, Priscila Díaz, emphasizes that this pilgrimage is “one of the most anticipated events by all rambleros and rambleras, not only because it is the finishing touch to the festivities in honor of the Saint, but also because it It has established itself as a benchmark that, after the forced break due to the pandemic, will be one of the most special editions in its history. In 2020 its 25th anniversary could not be celebrated, an event that will be present in this 2022 edition in which some twenty folk groups and participating parrandas have already been confirmed. Biodegradable tableware and several hundred multipurpose glasses with the logo of the Pilgrimage of San José will be distributed.
Groups that do not take advantage of the rental of carts managed by the Consistory will have to register their cars, carts or pivas in the City Council, as well as have “all insurance in order”, according to the local government (PSOE-AIS- DC).
The inscriptions and reservations of carts are now available through the municipal website, at the City Council’s Culture Office and at the Municipal Offices in the town of San Juan.
