Tenerife Intercity Transport (titsa), a company of the Cabildo de Tenerife, will adjust its offer of services of buses in Tenerife to winter demand starting next Monday, September 12, to adapt to the start of activity in educational centers and the end of summer.
The island councilor for Mobility and president of Titsa, Enrique Arriaga, explains that these changes are intended to adapt the supply of services to the demand generated by the return from vacation and the start of classes in schools and institutes. “In this way, we adapt the service to the needs of the users so that the bus is the first option of the people of Tenerife compared to the private vehicle”, he highlights.
New bus schedules in Tenerife
With the new schedule, the lines 014 Y 015, which connect Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna, will have more frequencies at peak hours on weekdays. In this way, there will be services every 10-15 minutes.
The 050 (La Laguna – Tegueste – Bajamar – Punta del Hidalgo) and the 105 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – La Punta), now direct via the Vía de Ronda, they return to their winter schedules with minor adjustments and modifications to their route.
Titsa remembers that the 105 It circulates along the Vía de Ronda, which allows a saving of 15 minutes of travel. In addition, the route stops at Las Quinteras, located just 100 meters from the La Laguna Town Hall and the Plaza del Adelantado, allowing a more direct connection between that area and the capital or the coastal region of La Laguna.
From Santa Cruz de Tenerife, line 105 passes through Altagay, which allows travelers to reach that place without having to do it on foot as before.
The lines 138 Y 139 (Interchanger Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Radazul-Tabaiba) and the 122 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Candelaria), also adjust to winter timetables, like those from Tacoronte to Mesa del Mar (021) and El Pris (023), which entails a reduction in frequencies by reducing the demand towards these coastal areas.
With a view to the start of classes at the University of La Laguna, the transport company will recover the special service between faculties of the line 610.
Likewise, expeditions are added on different routes in the southern zone to attend the entrances and exits of the institutes. In this way, the lines that connect with the IES Los Cristianos will have reinforcements (418, 424, 447, 471, 473, 483), IES Adeje and IES El Galeon (417, 447, 471,473), IES Granadilla (35, 408, 410, 412, 416, 419, 430, 463, 484), IES Guia Isora. (492)IES Las Galletas (470, 486), IES Medano (411, 470)IES San Miguel (484, 486) and the IES Tamaimo (461, 462).
