The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the contracting file for the supply of materials for the signaling of infrastructures and equipment for public use in the natural environment of Tenerife.
The estimated value of this contract will exceed 1,740,137 euros, which will be divided into three lots, where lot 1 will include the supply of vertical directional signs, posters, beacons with posters, marks and signs of the limit of the Protected Natural Area (ENP ), emergency locators and other signs associated with infrastructures, lot 2 will be dedicated to the manufacture of treated wood poles, and lot 3 to information panels, interpretive tables and landmark beacons.
The deadline for submitting offers will be 35 calendar days from the date of sending the tender notice to the Publications Office of the European Union, which will take place on September 8, 2022, collects a note from the Cabildo.
“The renewal and updating of the signage in the natural spaces of the island is a necessary and fundamental circumstance in the proper development of its management”, has indicated the island councilor for Management of the Natural Environment and Security, Isabel García.
In this sense, he comments that “there are many factors that converge in the maintenance of these essential pieces in the delimitation and marking of spaces, from the passage of time, the effects of fires and other natural phenomena such as sunstroke itself or the wind , or even the vandalism that is exerted on interpretive tables and that is why we must articulate administrative procedures capable of facing that this management is carried out in an effective and solvent manner”.
