The Puerto de la Cruz Summer Carnival continues today with the election of the Children’s Throne and the first Carnival Ambassador. Three children’s candidates and six adults will come out in a gala called El Puerto está de Carnaval that will begin at 9:30 p.m., and will be presented by the journalist Daniel Montesdeoca and the artist Yurena Namahana. Admission is free until full capacity. Three candidates have been presented for the Children’s Throne: Lucía Castro, with the fantasy At the gates of a magical world; Ady Bauset, with Encantadísima in a perfect night; and Seyni Tarr, with Hey Mommy. The six candidates for Ambassador of the Carnestolendas are: Carla Rodríguez, with Ziday; Rosaura Pérez, with Dreaming of Kalani; Helen Baaden, with Andromeda Apotheosis; Lianny Medina, with La Biquina; Eleonora Bevilacqua, with the fantasy In the infinite sky; and Yirsy Glaiusky, with Walking through Paris. Porto groups and groups such as Epsylon, Hesperides, Moana, Wild Dance, MásQuepotras, Son Bahía, Carabao Wayana and with a special performance by singer Tere Melián will participate in the gala wearing their best clothes.
