Canarian Coalition accuses the municipal government of keeping Las Galletas in a “situation of abandonment” and of breaking promises “regarding the future health center for this important nucleus of the municipality.” Remember CC that the current facilities “They are obsolete” while the local government of the PSOE and the Vice President of the Government, Román Rodríguez, “are dedicated to selling smoke about this future installation.”
A year ago, both the mayor, José Julián Mena, and the canarian vice president, Román Rodríguez, announced that the future health center in the area would be located in the old BBVA offices that they visited. One year passed, «We do not know anything about the future health center that the residents of Las Galletas demand so much and need so much. José Julián Mena and Román Rodríguez simply went to sell smoke and take a picture, without taking into account the neighbours’ needs».
This is confirmed by the spokesperson for CC in the Arona City Council, Alexis Gómez, and the councilor Fina Chinea. The first ensures that the current health center “does not meet the needs of the population of Las Galletas.”
The municipal government assured yesterday that the regional Executive has informed the City Council of the status of the file and is finalizing both the acquisition of the facilities and their conditioning to provide Las Galletas with its first health center.
The nationalist spokesman explains that the process will delay the commissioning of an essential resource for which the population of Las Galletas “will continue to wait years.”
