The schools of the municipality of Candelaria are prepared to receive the educational community for the 2022/2023 academic year. In this way, the City Council, through the Department of Education, has worked progressively during the summer on various important actions. Mari Brito, mayor of the municipality, and Maeva Tendero, responsible for the area, visited the five centers to observe the results of the scheduled work and wish the management team their best wishes in this new year.
“We have invested 200,500 euros, we will continue to advance day by day during the course, but broadly speaking, the work carried out adds up to creating a more comfortable, pleasant and sustainable environment. We want the educational community to coexist with the greatest facilities, which will translate into teaching and learning better. We are aware that our future is being created in our schools and we want to be a support in this development process”, she points out.
For her part, Maeva Tendero values teamwork by the Department of Education and the board of directors of the schools. “We constantly call each other and try to deal with day-to-day incidents and requests as soon as possible, in addition, helping to create and support everything necessary in activities and conferences that can create more dynamism in the classroom, I believe that in each center there is a great family committed to good work”, he points out.
Likewise, it collaborated in the Candelaria Adult School by painting all the classrooms and investing in new materials such as blackboards and in the intranet of the computer equipment.
