The PSOE of La Orotava criticizes the “little socio-cultural activity that the northern City Council has scheduled in the central area of the municipality during this summer” and ensures that it echoes “complaints from various neighborhood sectors, as well as representatives of small and medium municipal companies.
The socialist councilor Samuel Mesa points out that “unlike the necessary collaboration that is done with the different committees of neighborhood festivals in the programming of events and celebrations, the surroundings of the historic center, the main commercial area of the municipality, have suffered the absence of socio-cultural programming during the summer months, especially from mid-July».
“Something that, unfortunately, is not new and that is repeated year after year and that is how we have transferred it to the local government (CC)”, regrets Valencia, who considers that “concerts, screenings or festivals that would have helped generate economy”.
