The Canary Islands do not register new cases of monkeypox and remain at 158

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep. 6 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands communicates this Tuesday ten cases of monkeypox under study since Tuesday without new cases having been registered in the last four days.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there have been 158 confirmed cases, of which 91 were detected in Gran Canaria, 61 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and another in Lanzarote.

All active cases have mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up by Primary Care.

Apart from the confirmed cases, there are four probable cases, pending confirmation, two notified in Gran Canaria and two in Lanzarote, and six suspects, pending confirmation, three notified in Tenerife, one in Gran Canaria and one in Lanzarote.
