Two of the beaches of El Médano reopen but La Tejita remains closed



The City Council of Granadilla de Abona, in the south of Tenerife, has reported this Monday that the Central Beach of El Médano and El Chinchorro have been opened, after its closure last Friday due, according to the consistory, to “rainwater runoff”.

The City Council adds that the company awarded the water analysis service for bathing areas in the municipality, which is carried out twice a week, “has confirmed today that the waters of these two beaches are suitable for bathing. , while the one in La Tejita will remain closed for the time being”.

The consistory emphasizes that the closure throughout the weekend “was taken as a precautionary measure and in order to guarantee adequate levels of security for the population.”
