The next winter carnival of 2023 in Puerto de la Cruz will be dedicated to the islands of the Pacific Ocean, after winning, by a narrow margin of 60 votes, the second option: The Silk Road. The motto Pacific, islands of fire and coral obtained 279 votes of the almost 800 cast. In second place was La Ruta de la Seda, with 219 votes; in third place Science and Cosmos, with 131, and Surrealism, in fifth place with 119 votes.
The Government of Porto underlines that “with this result, in 2023 the Atlantic and the Pacific will unite, to offer an appointment with the best clothes to celebrate a party of dances with necklaces and bracelets, of carnival fantasies, of bodies and of color that will welcome to this new opportunity to celebrate the International Carnival».
The tourist city is currently immersed in the celebration of the Summer Carnival, until next September 11. Last Sunday there was a day dedicated to the little ones and their families, who enjoyed water castles, a foam party and superhero shows, Tyrannosaurus Rex, the choreographic group Moana and Essavan. The day concluded with the Disney Show, which took place in the surroundings of the Plaza de los Reyes Católicos, one of the most touristic areas of the city.
