This weekend the Local Police of Candelaria intervened before a case of gender violence in a building on Avenida Marítima, after receiving a call from the Cecoes warning of the situation. It so happens that the previous week, the Local Police also had to intervene in another case of gender violence, this time, at the Punta del Rey hotel.
The agents proceeded to appear at the home together with a Civil Guard patrol on two occasions, on the first, the accused handed over the keys to the home and was accompanied by the agents to the public transport, without the victim wanting to file a complaint, because in this first intervention there had only been one discussion. The Police were notified for the second time, producing a struggle with the agents, after the alleged aggressor had invaded the property of her victim, assaulting her and having her take refuge in the apartment of a nearby neighbor.
Thus, the man was arrested and transferred to the Candelaria Civil Guard post, while the victim was accompanied for evaluation at the Municipal Medical Center.
