The Iberia Express airline has canceled in advance and preventively a total of three round trip flights scheduled for this Tuesday, one of them with the Tenerife North airport.
The goal is to protect its customers and minimize the effects of the USO strike, which is now in its tenth and final day. In order to mitigate the effect of the strike on customers, Iberia Express has relocated 100% of the affected passengers to other flights or alternative means of transport.
Throughout the strike, Iberia Express has maintained a flexibility plan for all passengers who had a flight between August 28 and September 6, which has minimized the impact of the strike on passengers.
This Monday, on the penultimate day of the strike, all flights operated by Iberia Express passed without incident and the few delays that occurred were not related to it.
This Monday, September 5, the 93 flights operated by Iberia Express passed without incidents related to the strike called by the USO union, transporting 15,300 passengers. The day closed with a punctuality of 90.3%, having recorded 9 flights with delays of more than 15 minutes caused by operational reasons totally unrelated to the USO strike.
Today, Tuesday, September 6 and the last day of the strike, Iberia Express plans to operate 93 flights, which represent 94% of the scheduled flights, since the airline has canceled in advance and preventively 3 round trip flights ( 1 to Mallorca, 1 to Seville and 1 to Tenerife North) scheduled for today.
Iberia Express assures that it has made the decision to preventively cancel certain flights to minimize the impact, ensuring that an alternative is provided to all passengers with sufficient notice.
In addition, the airline has activated a flexibility plan for all customers with flights booked during the ten days of the strike, so that passengers could request a change of dates for the same route or a voucher with the total amount of the reservation, if they wanted it that way, and has created a website where you can check the status of your flight at any time and all the flexibility alternatives.
