The Christ of La Laguna Square will host this coming Wednesday, September 7, from 5:30 p.m., the Los el Río concert. The mythical Spanish duo arrives in the City of the Adelantados as the main course of the festival dedicated to the Elders of the Festivities of the Holy Christ of La Laguna 2022.
Antonio Romero and Rafael Ruíz, Los del Río, will arrive in La Laguna this Wednesday ready to sign a historic afternoon at the Fiestas del Cristo, reviewing the most important successes of their career. The couple of Andalusian artists came together in 1962, but it was not until 1966 that they recorded their first album, releasing hits in later years
such as “Soft, soft”, “Guitarra enamored” or “Seville has a special color”, among others.
However, the song with which they broke all the records and with which they would make a niche in the field of world music was “Macarena”. A success that, today, Billboard magazine places it at number 8 of the best songs of all time, being the most listened to and sold song in Spanish worldwide, having more than 4,500 versions.
